Supa crema de legume cu crutoane (Vegetable Cream-Soup with Croutons)



Pentru zilele de post (si nu numai), iata o reteta gustoasa, alternativa la clasicele supe si ciorbe romanesti. Nu in ultimul rand, ar putea fi o solutie pentru mamele cu copii mofturosi la mancare sau carora nu le plac legumele. Este si cazul baietelului meu. Ce face supa aceasta apetisanta si pentru el sunt crutoanele de paine pe care le poate adauga in castronel, mancand in acest fel si legumele sanatoase...
For the fasting days (but not only that), here's a delicious recipe, an alternative to the classic Romanian soups and borsch. And not lastly, this could be a solution for the moms whose children are very picky at the table or who do not eat their vegetables. It's the case of my baby boy. What makes this soup appealing to him are the croutons he puts in it. This way, he finally eats some healthy vegetables...

INGREDIENTE:
2 radacini pastarnac (parsnip roots)
4 morcovi (carrots)
1 telina (celery)
3 cartofi (potatoes)
3 cepe (onions)
1/2 paine (loaf of bread)
ulei de masline (olive oil)

Curatati si taiati legumele, apoi puneti-le la fiert in apa cu sare (atentie ca apa sa fie cam cu un lat de palma peste nivelul legumelor - sau chiar mai mult daca va place mai subtire). Cand au fiert bine si cat supa este calda inca, pasati tot continutul din oala cu un blender vertical sau in recipientul de la robot. Mai gustati si condimentati daca este nevoie, apoi adaugati un pic de ulei de masline.
Peel and dice the vegetables, then put them in boiling, slightly salted water (see that the water is at least 5 inches above the vegetables - or even more if you like your soup thinner). When they are well cooked and while the soup is still hot, blend the entire content together with a vertical blender. Taste and season if needed, then add a little olive oil.

Feliile de paine se taie cubulete care se usuca intr-o tigaie de teflon, intorcandu-le mereu, sau se lasa un pic la cuptor intr-o tava pana se auresc. Se adauga in castronul de supa, fiecare dupa cat isi doreste. Delicios! ;)
To make the croutons, cut the bread slices into cubes and put them in a sticking-safe pan, on the cooker, turning them often, or leave them in a pan in the oven for a little while, on low heat, until they get a golden colour. You add them to your soup bowl, each as much as they like. Deee-licious! ;)
