Sandvis cu salata de oua (Egg Salad Sandwiches)


Am descoperit ca eram pe cale sa primesc titlul "Cel mai neglijat blog", si mi-am spus ca trebuie sa fac ceva sa nu se intample asta. Intre timp, viata a fost plina-plina, suntem in perioada petrecerilor pentru copii (copiii mei sunt nascuti in mai, iunie, respectiv iulie), deci voi avea material despre idei de organizare a unor petreceri tematice. :) 

I realized I was about to receive the not-so-honorable title for "The Most Abandoned Blog", so I said to myself I had to do something to change this. Life has been hectic, and my family is in the middle of celebrating our children (my kids were born in May, June and July respectively), so it's one party after another and I have plenty of material to share with you about themed parties. :)

Deocamdata, va ofer reteta unei salate care mie imi lasa gura apa de fiecare data cand ma gandesc la ea... Este perfecta dimineata,intre doua felii de paine, la micul dejun, dar puteti sa o luati si la serviciu pe post de gustare de pranz. Aveti, insa, grija sa o tineti la frigider!

I would like to share with you a recipe for a mouthwatering salad. It is the perfect breakfast, but you can also take it with you to work and have it at lunch time. Just be careful to keep it in the refrigerator!





Ingrediente pentru 4 persoane/ ingredients for 4 servings:
8 oua fierte tari, tocate/8 hard-cooked eggs, diced
1 cana maioneza/1 cup mayonnaise
1 ceapa mare, tocata marunt (eu am folosit 1 leg. ceapa verde)/ 1/4 cup dried onion flakes (or 1 whole onion)
1/2 lingurita sare/1/2 teaspoon salt
1 lingurita de mustar praf (sau obisnuit)/1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/4 lingurita usturoi praf/ 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 lingura marar tocat/1 tablespoon dill weed
8 felii de paine/ 8 slices of  bread

 Intr-un vas, amestecati usor ouale cu maioneza, ceapa inmuiata, sarea, mustarul, praful de usturoi si mararul. Acoperiti si lasati la frigider 8 ore (sau peste noapte). Pentru a servi, ungeti 4 felii de paine cu o cantitate egala din acest acest amestec; puneti deasupra celelalte 4 felii de paine pentru a face sandvisuri.

In a bowl, gently mix the eggs, mayonnaise, onion flakes (or softened chopped onion), salt, mustard powder, garlic powder and dill. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours, or overnight. To serve, spread equal amounts on 4 slices bread; top with remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.
Este o gustare minunata si sunt sigura ca o veti pregati iar si iar, mai ales daca aveti copii mofturosi! :)
It is a really wonderful meal and I am sure you will make this again and again, especially if you have picky children! :)
